PWM exhibited its new CP180 portable cold welder and two of its best-selling cold welding machines at Interwire 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The products were presented by Joe Snee Associates, exclusive distributor of PWM cold welding equipment, spares and dies in the US and Canada.
PWM’s new CP180 is a small air/hydraulic cold welder contained in a handy carry pack. The 400mm2 unit weighs just 16kg and can be easily moved to the work area when required. The powerful, user-friendly machine produces strong, high-quality welds and enables the operator to join nonferrous wire, strip and profile up to 1.80mm (.071") without effort.
The electro/pneumatic EP500 rod welder is low energy, safe and easy to operate. It offers manufacturers an economical method of welding copper rod 5mm to 12.50mm (.197" to .492") and aluminium rod 5mm to 15mm (.197" to .590").
The smaller heavy-duty M101 is a versatile, low maintenance manual machine that can be used on a workbench or supplied with a trolley, enabling the operator to wheel it directly to the work area. The M101 produces strong reliable welds on copper wire 1mm to 3.60mm (.039" to .141") and aluminium 1mm to 5mm (.039" to .197"). The machine can also be used to weld strip for armouring lines.
PWM also exhibited its hand-held cold welders, and two larger manual models that can be used on a workbench or with a trolley.
